Bethesda has shared a new launch trailer for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus rockets the action and chaos to new heights. As BJ “Terror-Billy” Blazkowicz, prepare for an adrenaline-fueled romp with a rag-tag group of resistance fighters all striving toward one common goal: kicking Nazis out of America! Featuring larger-than-life set pieces and an impressive arsenal of fully upgradeable retro sci-fi weaponry, blast your way through legions of advanced Nazi soldiers and über soldiers in this definitive first-person shooter.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is rated M for Mature by the ESRB and releases on October 27, 2017, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with the Nintendo Switch version to release in 2018. Winner of more than 100 awards at E3 2017, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus also received four nominations from the official E3 Game Critics Awards (including Best of Show) and won Best Action Game.

This trailer is excellent, and Bethesda has been going all out with this game, and it seems that right now is the perfect time for a game exactly like this. Will you join the fight to take back America?

Ever since Creation Club was announced at E3 2017, I was curious and worried about what to expect. Paid mods had been tried before and ended up being a bad idea then, so how would Bethesda handle it now?

I cannot comment on how Creation Club is with regards to Fallout 4, but Skyrim is another matter. As soon as the update launched for Steam, I was there to check it out, and see what was offered. As it stands now, I am very disappointed in the offerings and with good reason. While the limited offering are understandable as Creation Club just launched for Skyrim, the issues is that what is there, is expensive and often times has better free alternatives.

Admittedly, the free alternatives are more for PC users, even with free console mods, but it does raise a major issue. That is the pricing and nature of the content. Consider the Hearthfire DLC. It brought new houses that you could build yourself, adoption, new followers and minor quests along with some other content. It also only cost around five dollars. Compare this to some of the Creation Club offerings which are asking up to four dollars for a single weapon. Granted there is a quest often attached to some of the Creation Club offerings but they are nothing all that special.

Sheogorath’s staff for example is 2.50 and boasts of having a bonus artifact…… which is a fork. The quest to get it is nothing special and the actual item is just a magic staff that looks unique but doesn’t offer much. There is also Chrysamere, which looks almost exactly like it does in Morrowind, and that is not a good thing. To get it, you go through a dungeon as part of a quest, that sounds good except for the fact that the dungeon is just like every other dungeon with nothing unique in it. It is a superfluous quest that offers nothing, other than taking your money.

What is worse is that Chrysamere, and Stendar’s Hammer ( another offering), both have free alternatives that look and play much better. A major selling point Bethesda pushed was that Creation Club would have unique content, but the content just feels like paid versions of stuff you can get for free elsewhere, and better versions as well to boot. Then we have the four dollar option “Plague of the Dead”, which was hyped as a zombie mod…….and is essentially a minor quest, to kill retextured Draugr with minimal other effects. Some more undead spawn randomly after but again, it isn’t worth the money. There are more pieces for sale but I think you all get the point.

There is one other piece of content mention though. Originally when I wrote my first draft, I mentioned there was one piece that did stand out as worth getting. Ruin’s Edge is 4 dollars, which again is steep, but the bow was highly detailed, and there wasn’t anything like it elsewhere, and it had some truly unique features and ideas. It was truly unique to Creation Club. The key word in that last sentence being “was”. Within a few days, there was a free version made available for PC players and it is superior in almost every way. The Creation Club version visually looks better and has some neat touches, but the random effects were picked from a small set. The free version has a lot more variety to its effects and is far more true to the spirit of Shivering Isles. In addition, the quest to get the Ruin’s Edge in the free version is far superior and is a truly unique quest that involves returning to the Shivering Isles and ends with a memorable boss fight. I can no longer suggest the Creation Club version and this was almost the final straw for me. But There is also another issue with Creation Club that I have not mentioned yet. That issue is that some of the content offered has been causing issues for players, such as corrupted saves, and game crashes, which has ruined hours of gameplay for many people.

I want to like creation club and went in with an open mind but it was honestly as bad as people said it would be. Maybe Bethesda can turn this around, but it has definitely not left a good impression so far.

About Clockwork City

The Clockwork City DLC game pack will take Tamriel adventurers through a new zone unlike any other — Sotha Sil’s legendary Clockwork City — to investigate a new Daedric threat. The DLC game pack presents hours of fresh Elder Scrolls stories and is jammed with unforgettable architecture, strange creatures, and powerful hybrid monsters. Players can travel to any local Mages Guild headquarters in Tamriel to find a note on a table titled “Order of the Eye Dispatch.” Reading the note will give the quest “Of Knives and Long Shadows,” and send players on their new adventure.  Once complete, players will receive the “Clockwork Obscuros” memento in their Collection.

The Elder Scrolls Online just keeps getting better and better. As a massive fan of The Elder Scrolls, this author appreciates all the work being put into the game and the sheer amount of detail. This is not one to miss.

Powered by NHL® 18, the season simulator predicts the Tampa Bay Lightning will triumph over the Edmonton Oilers and take home the Stanley Cup® for the first time since 2004. After an eventful 7-game series and an action-packed 3-2 win in the final game, Tampa Bay Captain Steven Stamkos will lead the team to victory, resulting in the team’s second Stanley Cup® win in franchise history after narrowly missing out in 2015.

A link to the EA SPORTS NHL® 18 blog post detailing the full regular season standings can be found here.

Some other notable predictions from the season simulation include:

  • The Pittsburgh Penguins, led by captain Sidney Crosby, continue their dominance of the Eastern Conference during the regular season and take home the President’s Trophy.
  • NHL® 18 cover athlete Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers, for the second year in a row, becomes the most decorated athlete at the NHL Awards®, with back-to-back wins of three major awards – the Hart Memorial Trophy, the Art Ross Trophy and the Ted Lindsay Award. McDavid joins an elite group of multi-year winners of these coveted awards, including Hockey Hall of Famers Guy Lafleur and Wayne Gretzky.
  • Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning will take home the Conn Smythe Trophy for an exceptional post-season performance, as well as the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as highest goal scorer.
  • In their inaugural season, the Vegas Golden Knights fall short a playoff spot finishing 14th overall in the Western Conference.

The EA SPORTS NHL® season simulation is conducted annually by artificial intelligence that uses real-life data from each player. Results are determined by the videogame when two teams match up based on player ratings, line combinations, and include variances such as injuries and hot streaks to give a realistic outcome of a game or series.

After launching for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 15, NHL® 18 delivers the creativity of today’s young NHL stars with new Creative Attack controls and the Defensive Skill Stick. Play the fast-paced, arcade-inspired 3-on-3 EA SPORTS™ NHL® THREES mode, or reshape the league entirely with the new Expansion Draft and your own custom 32nd NHL team. Shrouded in mystery, Father Theodore has remained an enigma…until now. Along with Stefano, Theodore is one of the human “monsters” who have made their way into the new STEM world in The Evil Within 2, and he’s finally ready to reveal his message to the masses – a message that promises a “righteous” fury and immolation to those who oppose him. Sebastian will need to survive the wrath of this master manipulator if he’s going to have any hope of finding Lily and escaping the nightmare of STEM.

Theodore has his own reasons for being in STEM that are separate from Mobius’ goals, which he sees as misguided. Though what he’s actually after only becomes apparent as Sebastian becomes more entangled in his world. Like Stefano, Theodore isn’t alone in STEM, although unlike Stefano – who commands the gruesome and terrifying Guardian and Obscura – Theodore’s main helpers aren’t creatures he created. Referred to as Harbingers, they are normal people whose minds Theodore has bent to his will. These Harbingers wield flamethrowers and seem to exist solely to carry out Theodore’s fiery will, burning any who would stand in the way of his pursuits. Any detail about his past pushes into HUGE SPOILER territory. In other words, you’ll have to play the game in order to unlock the secrets he hides. In the meantime you can check out Bethesda.net for even more details and insights from the team at Tango Gameworks.

As Sebastian Castellanos, you’ll have to dive into hell once more in the sequel to the hit 2014 survival horror game from the mind of Shinji Mikami. Take on twisted creatures in horrifying domains and face off against your own worst nightmares as you race to save your daughter. The Evil Within 2 will launch worldwide Friday the 13th, October 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Evil Within 2  has been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. For more information about the game, visit www.TheEvilWithin.com.

The Evil Within 2 looks to be an amazing horror game. Will you be checking it out?
