In fact, plans have already started to build the first park in the UK, with more following worldwide within the next 5 years.
There are plans for theme parks in the US and Australia as well.
Interestingly, Nintendo is opening theme parks as well, meaning the Sega/Nintendo rivalry is back in some form.
