After supposedly ending new events in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo seems to have changed plans as the company has announced that the game will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of Street Fighter, with a new spirit board event and a new spirit in the form of Evil Ryu.
It is not clear yet if this is a one-time thing or if we could continue to see new spirits for special occasions. The Street Fighter Spirit Board event with Evil Ryu will start on January 14 and last for five days.
